Dr. Dianne McKenzie, MD grew up in San Antonio. Her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology was earned at Texas A&M University, College Station, where she also received a minor in Chemistry. She spent a year at Boston University School of Medicine in the Masters Program in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. McKenzie then received her Doctor of Medicine Degree from The University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio Medical School. Her Pediatric Residency was completed at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio. Dr. McKenzie has been practicing since 2002.
Dr. McKenzie is living out her dream of caring for children from the time of their birth through graduation and is blessed to be a part of her patients’ lives. Dr. McKenzie understands the importance a parent places on entrusting the healthcare of their child in the hands of a competent physician. She values the relationships she develops with her families. She enjoys serving her community through causes that are dear to heart. She has served on the board for the March of Dimes, volunteers regularly at the Hope Choice and is the former Chief of Pediatrics at Northwest Texas Hospital. She is honored to have the opportunity to provide the best of care to your child and is excited to have you join the CHA family.
Dr. McKenzie is married to David McKenzie and they have been blessed with three amazing children, Landry, Sarah and Joshua.

Dr. Carmen Werner, M.D. grew up in northern California. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California – Davis with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biological Sciences and Spanish. She studied abroad for one year at the University of Barcelona, Spain. She then received her Doctor of Medicine degree at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Werner completed her Pediatric Residency at The Children’s Hospital in Denver and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver. Dr. Werner has been in private practice since moving to Amarillo in 1996.
She enjoys traveling, cooking, yoga, and is an avid animal lover.

Dr. Debbie Hoving
Dr. Debbie Hoving, M.D. grew up in San Antonio. She Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from St. Mary’s University. She earned her Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Medical School and completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She has been practicing in Amarillo, Tx since 1999 and is Board Certified in Pediatrics.
Whether you are a parent here for a Well Baby, Well Child, or Sick Visit, Dr. Hoving understands the immense love, joy, and pride as well as the fatigue, fearfulness, and uncertainty a parent has for their precious child. Her desire is to provide exceptional care to her patients and also to provide understanding and comfort to their parents. Dr. Hoving, her nurse practitioners, and staff are dedicated to their patients and their families. Dr. Hoving has been blessed with 2 beautiful daughters Danielle and Gabrielle Hoving as well as some very spoiled puppies. Dr. Hoving has been involved with Medical Missions as well volunteering with Hope Choice and Heal the City.

Savannah Gossett grew up in Amarillo, Tx. She received her Master’s in Science of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner at West Texas A&M University in 2016. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
In her nursing career, she has worked in the newborn nursery and pediatrics before obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree.
She is a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioner Association and the Panhandle Nurse Practitioner Association.
Savannah is excited to be apart of the CHA team as a Nurse Practitioner. She is looking forward to caring for your child in all ages and stages in their life, and developing a relationship with you and your child.
Savannah is married and they have two wonderful children. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching basketball, and camping.
Kiran Navaneeth MPAS, PA-C

Kiran grew up in upstate New York. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2017. She spent some time working as a scribe in the Emergency Room in both Dallas and Lubbock while she was in school. She then graduated with her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Oklahoma City University in 2020.
Kiran loves the healthcare field because it gives her the chance to truly connect with people in the times where they may be the most vulnerable, help them feel seen and feel like themselves again. She is really looking forward to working in pediatrics and at CHA because she can’t wait to get the chance to watch your children grow and turn into beautiful people.
Kiran and her fiancé, Brandon Pires, love to travel, eat great food and have lots of game nights. They spent time after college backpacking through Europe and are excited to explore the rest of the world soon. They are both looking forward to exploring more of Amarillo and seeing all there is to offer.

Michelle Smith, APRN, FNP-C

Michelle graduated from West Texas A&M University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and spent 27 years in Women’s and Children’s Health. She worked in Labor and Delivery and the Newborn Nursery for 20 years and was a certified Childbirth Educator for many years at BSA in Amarillo. Michelle spent 5 years working as an office nurse for Dr. John David and there grew her passion for the love of primary care providers and the important role they play for a growing family. In December of 2019, Michelle graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Masters in Nursing and became a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She joined the Children’s Healthcare Associate family in March of 2020. She was instantly drawn to the care and compassion shown to the patients in their practice.
Michelle and her family have always called Amarillo home. She’s has been married for 28 years to her husband Derek, and they have four incredible grown children and two beautiful grandchildren who are the light of her life!
Michelle’s hobbies include anything that her family is doing! She loves to travel and I play a lot of tennis in the Amarillo area tennis leagues! She is an active member of the community serving on boards for the March of Dimes, American Heart Association Heart Ball, and the Eveline River’s Christmas project “Santa in the Summer”.

Lexie Smith grew up in Floydada, Tx. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2013 from West Texas A&M University. She has worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northwest Texas Healthcare System, as well as in Labor & Delivery and Newborn Nursery at BSA. She graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2018. Lexie is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Lexie has always had a passion for taking care of children. She is also a mother and understands all of the emotions a parent encounters when their child is healthy and/or sick. She is overjoyed at the opportunity she has to provide the absolute best care available to families across the Texas Panhandle and is excited to be a part of the team at Children’s Healthcare Associates!
Lexie is married to Kody Smith and they have two daughters, Marley and Brynlee

Ashley Brady Rankin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Ashley Rankin was born right here in Amarillo, TX and grew up in Claude. She graduated with her first Bachelor’s degree from WTAMU in Canyon, TX and then moved to Denver, CO to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. While in Denver, Ashley worked at Good Samaritan Hospital and Pediatric Home Care of Denver. After several years of living in Denver, Ashley moved back to Amarillo to be closer to family, friends, and to reconnect with her hometown community. She worked two and half years at BSA in the ER while also obtaining her master’s degree in Nursing from Purdue University. Ashley is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified through The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Her passion for kids and healthcare have brought her to Children’s Healthcare Associates, and she is looking forward to helping your children grow up to be the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves.
Ashley and her husband, Daniel, enjoy traveling, and pretty much anything that involves outdoor activities to include but not limited to skiing/snowboarding, hiking, surfing, motocross, hunting, etc. They currently have two fur babies, Sassy and Zeus, with hopes to bring in some new additions to the family soon.
