Dr. Debbie Hoving, M.D. grew up in San Antonio.  She Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from St. Mary’s University. She earned her Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Medical School and completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.  She has been practicing in Amarillo, Tx since 1999 and is Board Certified in Pediatrics.

Whether you are a parent here for a Well Baby, Well Child, or Sick Visit, Dr. Hoving understands the immense love, joy, and pride as well as the fatigue, fearfulness, and uncertainty a parent has for their precious child.  Her desire is to provide exceptional care to her patients and also to provide understanding and comfort to their parents.  Dr. Hoving, her nurse practitioners, and  staff are dedicated to their patients and their families.  They take pleasure in watching their families grow and welcome you to join their pediatric family at Children’s Healthcare Associates.

Dr. Hoving has been blessed with 2 beautiful daughters Danielle and Gabrielle Hoving as well as some very spoiled puppies.  Dr. Hoving has been involved  with Medical Missions as well volunteering with Hope Choice and Heal the City.

Dr. Dianne McKenzie, MD grew up in San Antonio. Her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology was earned at Texas A&M University, College Station, where she also received a minor in Chemistry. She spent a year at Boston University School of Medicine in the Masters Program in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. McKenzie then received her Doctor of Medicine Degree from The University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio Medical School. Her Pediatric Residency was completed at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio. Dr. McKenzie has been practicing since 2002.

Dr. McKenzie is living out her dream of caring for children from the time of their birth through graduation and is blessed to be a part of her patients’ lives. Dr. McKenzie understands the importance a parent places on entrusting the healthcare of their child in the hands of a competent physician. She values the relationships she develops with her families. She enjoys serving her community through causes that are dear to heart. She has served on the board for the March of Dimes, volunteers regularly at the Hope Choice and is the former Chief of Pediatrics at Northwest Texas Hospital. She is honored to have the opportunity to provide the best of care to your child and is excited to have you join the CHA family.

Dr. McKenzie is married to David McKenzie and they have been blessed with three amazing children, Landry, Sarah and Joshua.

Dr. McKenzie has enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking and spending time with her family.

Dr. Carmen Werner, M.D. grew up in northern California. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California – Davis with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biological Sciences and Spanish. She studied abroad for one year at the University of Barcelona, Spain. She then received her Doctor of Medicine degree at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Werner completed her Pediatric Residency at The Children’s Hospital in Denver and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver. Dr. Werner has been in private practice since moving to Amarillo in 1996.

She enjoys traveling, cooking, yoga, and is an avid animal lover.

Savannah Gossett grew up in Amarillo, TX. She received her Master’s in Science of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner at West Texas A&M University in 2016. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

In her nursing career, she has worked in the newborn nursery and pediatrics before obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree.

She is a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioner Association and the Panhandle Nurse Practitioner Association.

Savannah is excited to be apart of the CHA team as a Nurse Practitioner. She is looking forward to caring for your child in all ages and stages in their life, and developing a relationship with you and your child.

Savannah is married and they have two wonderful children. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching basketball, and camping.

Karlie Novian, RN, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Karlie Novian is originally from Pampa, TX. She attended West Texas A&M University where she studied nursing and earned her bachelor’s degree. She completed her master’s degree and Nurse Practitioner studies with The University of Texas at Arlington in 2020. 

Karlie spent her time working in adult intensive care, pediatric intensive care, and in the emergency department prior to earning her master’s degree. Through each of her experiences she found her true passion in caring for pediatrics. 

Karlie is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), who is also her certifying board. She enjoys attending River Fellowship church on Sunday’s, spending time with her family, and baking.  

 

Ashley Brady Rankin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Ashley Rankin was born right here in Amarillo, TX and grew up in Claude. She graduated with her first Bachelor’s degree from WTAMU in Canyon, TX and then moved to Denver, CO to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. While in Denver, Ashley worked at Good Samaritan Hospital and Pediatric Home Care of Denver. After several years of living in Denver, Ashley moved back to Amarillo to be closer to family, friends, and to reconnect with her hometown community. She worked two and half years at BSA in the ER while also obtaining her master’s degree in Nursing from Purdue University. Ashley is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified through The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Her passion for kids and healthcare have brought her to Children’s Healthcare Associates, and she is looking forward to helping your children grow up to be the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves.

Ashley and her husband, Daniel, enjoy traveling, and pretty much anything that involves outdoor activities to include but not limited to skiing/snowboarding, hiking, surfing, motocross, hunting, etc. They currently have two fur babies, Sassy and Zeus, with hopes to bring in some new additions to the family soon.

Sarah Simon grew up in the small town of Pampa, TX. She graduated with her Associate in Applied Science in Nursing degree in 2007 from Amarillo College. She furthered her nursing career in 2018 when she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She had over fourteen years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery and the Newborn Nursery at BSA before graduating with her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2021. Sarah is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Sarah is married to Zac Simon and they have been blessed with four children so their home is never lacking in laughter or dull moments. She enjoys spending her time with her family and friends, traveling with her husband and children, and serving in her church.

Sarah has always had a passion for healthcare and has known this was her path since she was a little girl. Being a mother herself, Sarah understands the highs and lows that go along with parenthood and looks forward to sharing these moments with her patients and considers it a privilege and a blessing to be a part of your child’s care. She is excited to have the opportunity to provide the best healthcare to families across the Texas Panhandle and be a part of the Children’s Healthcare Associates team!

Sarah Ybarra grew up in Amarillo, TX. She graduated in 2004 with her Associates Degree in Nursing from Amarillo College. She then worked as a registered nurse at BSA Hospital for 11 years before pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree, graduating in 2019 from West Texas A&M University. After 17 years of nursing Sarah then went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing Degree, also from West Texas A&M University, graduating in 2021. Sarah is certified by The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

In addition to working at BSA for 11 years, Sarah has enjoyed working as a school nurse and in the ER for the last six years while pursuing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees where she discovered her passion of working with children and their parents.

Sarah is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Panhandle Nurse Practitioners’ Association, American Nurses Association, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

A little over six years ago Sarah, her husband Juan, and their children moved to Groom, TX, a small town not far outside of Amarillo. She is the mother of three daughters and one son that vary in ages through preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school. She and her family enjoy small town life while still being close to Amarillo. Sarah and her husband volunteer for the local emergency medical services (EMS) and her husband is a volunteer firefighter. As a family they volunteer their time to the local community by coaching and supporting the local pee wee football and basketball programs. Sarah is also a member of Alpha Mu Xi (the local women’s sorority philanthropic group).
